Welcome to the GMTB documentation for NGGPS. In this website you will find documentation on various aspects NGGPS, including the CCPP, the Driver, the Single-Column Model, and the GFS free-forecast workflow.

What is NGGPS?

NGGPS is NOAA's Next-Generation Global Prediction System, a set of Numerical Weather Prediction Tools under development for use in all global forecast applications run operationally by the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP).
