Introduction

This exercise runs GSI 3D hybrid analysis for the background file of NOAA Environmental Modeling System (NEMS) Nonhydrostatic Multiscale Model on the B-grid (NMMB). The analysis time is at 12z June 28, 2012 and the conventional observations are assimilated. The regional NAM BE is employed as the background error covariance in this experiment.
